An Interview with the Projection Team
The MSFE always brings together various skills and talents that each provide to the show in their own
special way. This year’s MSFE will be no different. Everyone is tirelessly operating to make this show a
huge victory. The projecting team is doing their part by contributing to make this show a success.
The projection team is working step by step towards a promising outcome. As the rehearsals go on, if and when they detect any areas of improvement in their projections, they make the required revisions to attain sublimity.
Some difficulties they faced while working were coordinating with the other departments regarding the material. They struggled to find footages that won’t overshadow the presence of the people who are on stage but at the same time will capture the attention of the parents. They also had issues handling the amount of people who were in the team. If they encountered something that was unknown to them, they watched tutorials and kept learning as they went on.
During the interview, Krishn Sir mentioned that they are working relentlessly to make sure that they leave no room for any kind of oversight but at the end of the day we learn from our mistakes. However, if there is an error during the show they can freeze the frame or even change the backdrop. The most important thing is to remain calm and fix the mistake deftly.

The Importance of MSFE
Why is it important for us to have the Middle School Form Evening? What does it teach us? How will it help
us in the future in whatever field we choose to pursue?
Having the Middle School Form Evening is important for several reasons. Firstly, it gives us valuable experiences and skills that can help us in various fields. By participating in onstage roles, such as acting, dancing, and singing, we gain experience in the performing arts. These experiences not only improve our abilities in specific areas but also build our creativity, self-expression, and confidence.
The Middle School Form Evening also offers opportunities for offstage roles, which are equally important. Being in offstage roles, such as discipline, advocacy, and art and design, brings many benefits. For instance, being involved in discipline increases our self-discipline, which will help us in all aspects of life. Roles like advocacy and art and design help improve our creativity and will help us to flourish in fields such as visual arts and journalism.
To conclude both onstage and offstage roles in the Middle School Form Evening give us a wide range of skills, including teamwork, communication, creativity, and discipline. These skills are not only valuable in the present but also in our future endeavors, regardless of the field we choose to pursue. The Middle School Form Evening helps students grow, learn, and discover themselves, making us the best version of ourselves.

An Interview with the Web Designers
The theme of MSFE 2023, Jungle Echoes, showcases a unique set of talents across Middle
School. Leading up to the event, the students as well as the teachers are showing absolute
dedication towards making the show a success. As the MSFE approaches, the web design
team is working relentlessly to report to everyone about the occurrences of the show.
For the Jungle Echoes’ website, they integrated visually captivating elements to highlight key components of the MSFE. This involved incorporating vibrant graphics, lively layout designs and several other attention-grabbing features that emphasize essential information. Furthermore, they strategically employed colors and intuitive navigation pathways to guide users seamlessly, ensuring a user-friendly experience.
Some of the difficulties that the web designers mentioned they faced while developing the website was the responsiveness of the website, trying to create a user-friendly web page and coordinating with the other departments. They also struggled to find suitable file formats and backgrounds. To test the website thoroughly, they systematically explored various sections, diligently checking each link and feature manually. This involved navigating through different pages, clicking on links, and interacting with various elements to ensure that they function as intended. By conducting this head on examination, they identified any potential issues, inconsistencies or areas that may need improvement in terms of user experience and functionality. This meticulous inspection is a crucial step in maintaining the website’s overall performance and usability.
The website has many enthralling attributes but according to Snigdha ma’am the best part of the website is its ability to flawlessly display the liveliness and opportunities offered by the MSFE. The Middle School web designers believe that the finest portion of the website is the gallery, as it is visually appealing and fascinating.
As per Snigdha ma’am, while collaborating with young minds, her focus was on making the website design both professional and easy to navigate, creating a platform that exhibits the lively buzz of the evening form. Overall, it has been a fulfilling and exciting experience for the whole team. Their hard work and enthusiasm will contribute to making MSFE a huge success.

The Middle School Form Evening is a highly anticipated event that is rapidly approaching. As the students
involved in organizing this event work tirelessly, they are pushing themselves to the limit to make this
year's MSFE of the year 2023, an unforgettable experience. The success of previous MSFEs can be attributed
to the students' hard work, and this year will be no exception.

The Jungle Echoes
When thinking of jungles, one may see,
An untamed place, wild and free.
Amidst the leaves and towering trees,
Lurk creatures that can bring one to their knees.
But in the midst of this chaotic land,
There is a beauty that one can't understand.
A natural world, untouched by man,
Where life thrives according to its own plan.
The jungle's pulse beats with a rhythm unique,
A symphony of sounds that one can seek.
From chirping birds to roaring beasts,
The jungle's song will never cease.
So let us marvel at this wondrous place,
And cherish the jungle's untamed grace.
For in its depths, we can find a trace,
Of nature's power and endless embrace.

The Echoes of The Jungle Book
This year's production of MSFE brings us the theme of the beautiful nature around us. Named 'Jungle
Echoes'
quite fitingly, it echoes the past by bringing back the legendary characters from The Jungle Book. It is
set
in the future, however, where the only jungle existing is that of The Jungle Book, with the nostalgic
characters, Baloo, Bagheera, Kaa and of course, Mowgli. One might wonder how these characters are still
alive? Could it be a magical potion, perhaps a life of giving elixir? The scene is set behind the
mountains
of Himalayas, where the animals and Mowgli live in harmony with nature. Stay tuned, and hold on to your
excitement, for what's in store is a revelation that promises to change everything.

Animal Friends and Human Traits: Anthropomorphism in 'The Jungle Book'
What's anthropomorphism?
It's when animals or things act like humans. In 'The Jungle Book,' by Rudyard Kipling, you can see lots of animals doing just that! They talk, have their own rules, and sometimes even act like our friends. Let's dive into this exciting theme in the story.
Talking Animals:
In the book, animals like Baloo, Bagheera, and even Shere Khan don't just growl or roar. They talk, have conversations, and make decisions, just like humans. It's like having animal friends who can understand us, and we can understand them.
Rules and Traditions:
In the jungle, the animals follow their own set of rules and traditions. Mowgli, the main character, learns these rules from his animal friends. He follows the Law of the Jungle, and we can see how he tries to fit in and be a part of the wolf pack, even though he's a human.
Emotions:
Just like us, the animals in 'The Jungle Book' feel emotions. They get happy, sad, angry, or scared. They form friendships, help each other out, and even have disagreements.
Life Lessons:
'The Jungle Book' teaches us some important life lessons. It shows that we can learn about bravery, friendship, and how-to live-in harmony with the world around us.
So, why is anthropomorphism important in 'The Jungle Book'? It makes the story more exciting and fun to read. It helps us connect with the characters, even though they're animals. It shows us that animals aren't so different from us after all.

An Interview with the Actors
In a vibrant showcase of talent, students in our school are gearing up for another spectacular
performance in the Middle School Form Evening that promises to transport the audience to a
futuristic Jungle Book in the year 2073.We interviewed with members of one of the drama
groups.
All of the three people we interviewed stated that instead of the theme of Jungle Book they would rather prefer another play, two of them wanting The Lion King with the same futuristic twist while the third one wanted them to put the twist on some classics like Hamlet. They all expressed their unity as a team, drawing parallels to the collaborative nature of wolves working in a pack. However, they humorously admitted that the most challenging aspect was mastering the diffrent dances they had to do while one thought it was also challenging to make new friends.
The three also emphasized that the selection for their drama roles was based on skill, fostering an environment that values each members' unique strengths. Two believe that participating in drama provides valuable experiences, laying the foundation for potential careers in acting and helps improve team building skills. While one of them interestingly had a difference of opinion thinking it won’t help them in the future
With each person contributing their unique flair, the Middle School Form Evening promises to be an enchanting display of creativity and collaboration. The drama students are working hard to bring the teacher’s vision of this play on stage, bringing a futuristic Jungle Book to life and make this one of the most memorable middle school form evenings to date.

Diwali Delights and the MSFE Marvels
The arrival of the winter season in November steals the limelight in the Indian
calendar as people gather to celebrate various cultural and religious occasions
around the globe. Celebrating several festivals and events in this month gives
us joy as pure as gold, but in SBS two events stand out like a fireworks display
in the dismal night sky – MSFE and Diwali. Marking both the festivals/event
leaves me on cloud nine as I enjoy the pleasures of both, the Festival of Lights
and Mangli’s adventures.
Diwali or the ‘Festival of Lights’ is celebrated by almost everyone in India and brings a smile to millions of citizens across the globe. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Households come alive as we light diyas, make vibrant rangolis and light up our houses using colorful lights to make the most of this wonderful day. Families assemble as they exchange sweets and gifts and wish each other. The display of fireworks lights up the grim night sky which is as black as coal and adds a touch of magic to thin air.
But as the Diwali Lights begins to fade, Mangli and his companions take stage! The excitement for the Middle School Form Evening grabs the headlines as Middle Schoolers toiled pouring their blood, sweat and tears to help make this event a success. This event is both a display of talent and creativity as students both on-stage and off-stage give their best. While the students performing on- stage enlighten the audience with their performances, those working off-stage ensure the smooth execution and success of the overall event.
Both these festivals hand-in-hand truly make us feel like a young kid in a candy store! Don’t you feel as if you were born under a lucky star?

Article on Cleanliness and Creativity
Cleanliness and creativity may seem like unrelated concepts, but they are
more connected than we think. When our environment is clean, then our
brain can function well and be creative. Whereas when our environment is
messy and dirty, then our brain cannot function properly and does not work
as creatively as it should. Imagine being stuck in a messy classroom during
an exam. It becomes distracting when stuff is thrown on the floor and you
cannot find something. Without cleanliness MSFE would not be the the same
as we would keep getting distracted by the messy room and word not be
able to display our creativity in its best form. Hence it is important to
maintain a clean environment so that your brain can be clutter free and can
work without distraction. This Diwali let us clean our homes and brain as we
welcome Lakshmiji.

MSFE and Winter
Alongside the long awaited Middle School Form Evening, the lovely winter season is also
getting closer. Winter is a nice time of the year, even though it’s not everyone’s favorite due to
the cold. It’s a bit like the theme of MSFE, which is about jungles ,beautiful but not a great place
to go alone if you’re easily scared. Winter, like jungles, is pretty but can be risky.
Interestingly, jungles and winter are connected in a less fortunate way. Deforestation, the act of cutting down trees, is a huge cause for the Earth’s global warming. This is affecting our winter time. A study from 1952 to 2011 found that winter, along with spring and autumn, is getting shorter, while summer is lasting about 19 days more.
Three days less of winter might not seem like a big deal, but if it keeps happening, it adds up. And as more and more trees are cut down because of the Earth’s growing population, there’s a sad possibility that at the time of setting up MSFE, there might not be any winter. This shows how much we rely on animals and nature.
So, while we’re excited about MSFE and the cool winter season, let’s also think about taking care of our environment. We need to be mindful of how our actions, like cutting down trees, can affect the world around us. This way, not only can we enjoy the beauty of winter but we can also make sure future generations get to experience it too.

Cleanliness and Creativity #2
Is it possible that a task as simple as cleaning around the house could be
a form of meditation? A clean environment makes it easier to
concentrate and allows our mind to immerse itself fully in the creative process.
Cleanliness and creativity may seem like unrelated concepts, but they are more connected than we think. If mess and dirt hinder creative thinking, cleanliness does the opposite by clearing the path.
We are all fully engaged in the MSFE preparations and imagine being distracted if the surroundings are cluttered, unorganized and messy. The experience is highly unlikely to be the same. Clean spaces help foster the mental clarity that precedes aha moments and captivating imagination.
Hence it is important to maintain a clean environment so that your brain can be clutter free and can work without distraction. Let us adopt a new mantra- Cleanliness is next to creativity.
